We are a blest humanity;
Invested with divinity;
God is within - a mystery;
Innermost for eternity.
Life can become a mountain track
When we might feel like turning back;
There is one only thing to do -
Keep struggling on to see the view!
Struggles and tests can be unfair;
Sometimes they lead us into prayer;
God is within, we’re not alone;
We find the strength we’ve never known.
Life, it can be a savage road;
Times when we have a heavy load,
Progress is slow - a step or two;
When nightmares can present as true.
When our souls make a cry for peace,
“When will our loneliness decrease?”
Then we may look inside our soul;
God is within; we can be whole!
