Love that is shared between just two
Can be a wondrous thing;
This love gives voice to harmony
Of two who wish to sing.
The ways we demonstrate our love,
Transgender, gay or straight
Create the bonds of sacredness
We warmly celebrate.
This passion, friendship, when sincere,
Gives birth to much delight;
It gladdens us, ignites the spark
That sets our life alight.
To limit such fulfilment can
Bring pain for some to bear;
By prejudice we can destroy,
Can multiply despair.
The love of God embraces us
In our diversity;
The Jesus’ way affirms us all
In our humanity.
