The new being is manifested in a good spirit in the world – the spirit of goodness, compassion and beauty. The good spirit is the best expression of people’s lives and their aspirations, and becomes a major focus of their worship.
The nature of ‘new being’ is manifest, unfurled
By gifts of that good spirit abroad throughout the world;
This spirit of compassion, of kindness and of grace,
Of goodness and of beauty – this spirit we embrace.
This good and present spirit, this energy we sense
Gives voice to human values in all their excellence;
This spirit gives expression to that which is the best
In all our lives and strivings; and with that we are blest.
Our boldest aspirations, intentions of good-will –
Expressed by this good spirit, alive and in us still,
Lead us into our worship, to concentrate our gaze
And focus on that spirit, to meditate and praise.
