God is in nature's cycles (Vol 2 No 39)

God in nature’s cycles, thankfully we sing

For the hush of Autumn and new life in Spring;

For the frost in Winter and the Sumner sun,

For each season’s beauty and each year begun.

Welcomed by creation as an honoured guest,

Grateful for her bounties; we are truly blest.

God revealed around us; everywhere we see

Colour, sounds and movement seeking harmony;

Plenty in the storehouse, but we must take care

To preserve our water, not pollute our air.

Welcomed by creation as an honoured guest,

Grateful for her bounties; we are truly blest.

God unveiled in nature, giving gen’rously

Of such precious bounty, and so constantly;

All this wealth is free; it’s there for us to take;

We should pledge protection for our children’s sake.

Welcomed by creation as an honoured guest,

Grateful for her bounties; we are truly blest.

God in world’s uncharted, God within our own;

God disguised in myst’ry, God in flesh and bone;

At all times and places God is sensed to be

Deeply partnered in our world’s diversity.

God, in all creation, wills us lovingly

To be gentle carers of earth’s destiny.
