Jesus - the law breaker (Vol 1 No 33)

There was once a man, an amazing man,

Who lived life quite courageously.

He would break the Law, cause a great uproar,

This young Rabbi from Galilee.

Consider this man called Jesus;

There is much in his life to see.

All the Laws he broke, were for simple folk

Forced upon them ferociously.

Laws kept outcasts poor; blessed the rich with more;

Were corrupt with inequity.

Consider this man called Jesus;

He pursued justice pass’nately.

Law was all for show, and the status quo,

To maintain harsh authority,

Laws were so unjust, Jesus had disgust

For the System that let them be.

Consider this man called Jesus;

He denounced grim legality.

So for us today, we must not display

Lack of int’rest or apathy;

Humans can get caught; we must not resort

To the same immorality.

Consider this man called Jesus;

He is challenging you and me.
