Praise and prayer will both begin

From God, who is deep within;

We feel life pulse through our veins,

Knowing God, whom life sustains;

When we contemplate this life

With its happiness and strife

We are confident to be

In God’s life eternally.

With us in each time and place,

Deeply sharing private space,

God, in whom we live and be,

Feels for us exceedingly;

When we cry in pain or grief

God cries too; is our belief;

If we cry in happiness

God sheds tears God can’t suppress.

God joins us in all life’s mess;

Suffers with us in our stress;

Feeling all our joy and pain,

God is here to help, sustain;

God’s own human-ness is seen

In the Christ - the Nazarene;

He has shown the unity -

 God within humanity.
