Humans do amazing things (Vol 2 No 65)

When we contemplate our neighbourhood

Humans do amazing things.

When deprived of basic livelihood

Humans do amazing things.

Some accept what life has handed,

Some will never, never retreat.

Even feeling lost and stranded,

Some refuse to suffer defeat.

In the darkness of deep tragedy

Humans do amazing things.

When engulfed in endless misery

Humans do amazing things.

Somewhere we find light in darkness;

Somehow find the strength to grin.

Hope can live when swamped with sadness;

Hell will never finally win!

When surrounded with adversity

Humans do amazing things.

When struck down by grim calamity

Humans do amazing things.

Strangers risk their lives to rescue;

Danger ignored; the trapped must be freed;

People are of priceless value;

All to help each one in need.

Where do we find strength to persevere?

How do we find strength to win?

What enables hope to reappear?

Could it be that God is within?

God is courage. God gives daring.

God is strength and God gives wings.

God is love and God gives caring.

Humans do amazing things!
