Showing Lord's Death

The Catholic idea of the eucharist violates Christian doctrine and it violates its own doctrine. The doctrine of intentions as used by the Catholic church requires the church and its eucharist officiants to

1. Do what Christ did and intended.

2. Do what the church intended.

In the Catholic eucharist they have left both the intention of Christ and the intention of the church (apostles). In Catholic doctrine it is an offering by the priest whereby Christ is offered again and again.

Christ on the other hand said to "do this in remembrance of me".

It is not what a priest offers on earth that becomes the center of religion but what Christ has done as our sacrifice for sin.

Likewise Paul stated he received from Christ through vision, years after the church was practicing the Lord's Supper, "Do this in remembrance of me" and interpreted this to highlight Christ's actual death; not a priestly human offering.

"As often as you eat this bread and drink this cup you do show forth the Lord's death"

So, the intention of the church was to show forth Christ's actual death, and not simply a priest re-sacrifice of Christ.

The Catholic Church actually violates its own doctrine of intentions.

The church as minister of the mystery of Christ met its obligation by showing forth Christ's actual death. The churches offering is the sacrifice of praise.
