Psalms 91

Psalms 91 is a great example of God's grace protecting while giving man the freewill to do God's will. Verses 11 and 12 are used in relation to Christ. It starts in v 1 showing God's protection.

Psa 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Psa 91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Psa 91:12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

This passage is used of Christ at his temptation in Matthew 4. It is important to note Christ was protected so that he could fulfill his death at the cross, even protection from disease Psalms 91:10.

Yet he went through his temptation himself and went to his death as a freewill offering without the Father enduring the struggle for him.

Mat 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Some things man must do himself. Grace does not nullify freewill.

Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Joh 10:17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

Yes grace helped Christ make it to the cross, but Christ had to offer himself.

Notice the Hebrews 9:14 passage, Christ's death would purge our conscience to serve, he did not force service.
