Prayer An Abomination

Unity in Diversity is the concept that specifics of worship don't matter as much as general unity.

Catholics use Unity in Diversity to allow people from different areas to practice different styles of worship. The church of England used Unity in Diversity to build political power by allowing different faiths to share in regional power.

The common problem is that neither is following God's ordinances as given.

By allowing deviation in clear spiritual matters, it undermines the reign of Christ.

Pro 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Intentionally turning from God's ordinances for the sake of power or influence could render worship powerless and separate us from Christ's help.

Changing the organization of the church may seem small, but it is very disobedient. If God specified the organization, then unity that allows differing organizations would be wrong.

Denominational Unity in Diversity would be against Christ's will.

Mal 2:11 Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god.

Spiritually marrying false religion is an abomination in God's sight.

A Christian religion springing from the religions of Rome would be kin to marrying the daughter of a strange God.
