Zion in Revelation

About 70% of Christian groups now believe in Zionism and believe Jesus will return to rule the earth from Mt Zion, which is in Judea Southwest of Jerusalem.

The book of Revelation actually disproves the theory. When compared to Psalms 2 it is 100% evidence Christ already reigns on Zion.

Rev 14:1  And I looked, and lo, a lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him a hundred and forty four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

Psa 2:6  Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

Psalms 2 is quoted in the New Testament and fulfilled already.

According to Revelation 14 Christ was already enthroned upon Mt. Sion and ruling nations.

If you read farther into Revelation 14 you see the sanctuary is in heaven and not upon earth.

Rev 14:17  And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

Revelation clearly shows Christ on Mt Sion while serving the true sanctuary in heaven.

Many say this could not be Israel because Jerusalem was destroyed much earlier, this would mean Revelation had an early date, but after AD 70 Jewish false Christ's who arose tried to rebuild, but were met with more resistance. The wars continued until Jerusalem and Judea were over thrown after 100 AD.

This allows Revelation to have a later date of 95 AD while being relavent to Israel and later war.

The city of Rev 14 could be the New Jerusalem in heaven, or the city of Jerusalem on earth, or Babylon as a figurative city. The winepress was surely outside the city and war in Judea and Israel continued after revelation was written..

Since another Idol was erected in Jerusalem after Revelation was written then Revelation could be speaking of serving the Roman Emperor who over threw the revolt and erected the Idol. This makes sense to me.

Zionism where Christ reigns from Jerusalem isn't supported in Revelation.

Also, premillinialism teaches Christ doesn't reign yet, but Rev 14 has him wearing a golden crown.

The one thing I can say for sure, Christ reigns today.
