Healing By Faith

Faith only miracle workers, those of the Assembly of God and other Pentecostal groups, tend to tie the miracles of Christ to faith only.

Jesus addressed both issues.

1. Those doing wonderful works in his name.

2. Those believing salvation is faith only.

Mat 7:21  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 7:22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

In the same paragraph he addressed wonder workers and the necessity to do God's will to enter heaven.

I think the idea of a worker of iniquity is a faith only teacher who deceives with miracles.

Of 30 plus healings by Christ, only 1 asked for faith. Thus the analogy that healing by faith only is equal to their idea of salvation by faith only, isn't really on point. In many cases the person healed had no faith stated at all.
