Quran Bad Advice

The Quran is incorrect in several areas of advice. One of those places is in The Cow ch 2, where the Quran advises Israel to keep the covenant God had given them.

[2.40] O children of Israel! call to mind My favor which I bestowed on you and be faithful to (your) covenant with Me, I will fulfill (My) covenant with you; and of Me, Me alone, should you be afraid.

Since the Quran accepts Jewish and Christian peoples as descendants of Abraham, with progressive prophecy from one people to the next, it would show a contradiction in the Quran if Jewish and Christian thought disagreed.

Christians believe the covenant with Israel was fulfilled in Christ, and subsequently the Law of Moses was taken away at the cross. Thus the Quran tells Israel to keep a covenant that is no longer in effect.

Jews are no longer under their Mosaic covenant.

Jer 31:31  Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Jer 31:32  Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

Jeremiah dates the removal of the covenant with the period in which the children of Ramah were slaughtered.

Jer 31:15  Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.

Thus the new covenant would not be Islam which was 600 years later. The New covenant was in force well before Muhammed's birth. This covenant was ratified by Jesus.

Heb 12:24  And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

This covenant would be everlasting.

Jer 32:40  And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

Heb 13:20  Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

Islam in no way could supercede the covenant of Christ.

The Quran gives bad advice to the Jews by asking them to keep a covenant no longer in force, and to embrace a covenant they say superceded an everlasting covenant. The Christian covenant is everlasting.

The Quran is simply bad advice.

Muhammed grew up in an area with a strong Jewish community that rejected Christ, the Quran simply played on the Jewish beliefs of his community, of his upbringing.
