Israel Condemned

Jesus was clearly condemning Israel with much of his speech, explaining why they would be condemned and later scattered into the world.

This isn't being anti-Semitic, but acknowledging Israel was worthy of judgment. It was their behavior and not their nationality. They refused to honor Christ.

(Mat 12:42)  The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

The queen honored Solomon and his wisdom, but Israel rejected the wisdom of Christ, and he was greater than Solomon.

The acknowledgment Israel would be condemned is important, because Israel was looked to as the premiere moral example. They had digressed to the point that their land was filled with evil spirits.

Israel was no longer a model nation for righteousness. This is evident because Jesus mentions this generation had come to be filled with 7 more evil spirits.

Mat 12:45  Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

Jesus acknowledges they are filled with wickedness, and it could be 7 times worse.

We know that Israel would no longer be the prime leaders of the world, they had turned to themselves instead of God for cleansing. Their house was cleaned and furnished, but perhaps this cleaning method only made room for more evil. A type of righteousness that leads to evil.

Mat 15:3  But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

Turning  to tradition simply opened the door to human wisdom. This is a good example for any religion, human wisdom doesn't lead to true righteousness.
