Look At How We Live

I heard a radio advertisement for a local protestant church the other day, Methodist to be exact, the ad said to come worship with us because we believe you show you are a christian by how you live, it was referring to a moral life. Of course they didn't tie a moral life to salvation.

Yet, you can appear to honor all the moral teachings but in reality break the most important ones.

You could honor many moral commands but reject the great commission and then lie about it and what it means.

The Jews and Methodists were in the same boat. They boasted how true believers lead a moral life while rejecting Christ's commission.

You see, a moral outlook such as the Jews had without fulfilling the Great Commission would be lip service. The Jews continued to be moral even after rejecting Jesus and his commission. They boasted about their morals while vehemently rejecting most of what Jesus came to accomplish.

Mat 28:18  And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Mat 28:19  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Mat 28:20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Are churches that deny the commission to follow their own moral agenda really moral?

Disrespect to Christ over the commission

Disobedience to the commission

Teaching opposite of the commission

Outright lying

The life you live is how you recognize real Christians, but that begins with the great commission vs dismissing it and altering it.

Tit 1:14  Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

Tit 1:15  Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

Tit 1:16  They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Men that have rejected the commission, such as Methodists and other groups, aren't as righteous as the radio ad wants you to believe. Faith only incorporated with a moral agenda doesn't replace the commission as a means to heaven.

Louis Fahrekhan a Muslim leader tweeted,

An educated person should exhibit high moral character and integrity.

Though true, ignoring truths such as the great commission isn't really exhibiting a personality of character. Moral statements and agendas are really smoke and mirrors meant to hide disobedience toward Christ in reference to the commission.
