Believe He Was Raised

Many teach you just believe in the cross and you are saved, but the statement of faith is actually belief Christ was raised from the dead.

The word raised can speak of the resurrection, but other verses use raised to speak of being elevated to a lordship. ie. God raised up Christ to sit on his throne or God raised up David to be their king.

The implication being that those who do not believe in Christ's current kingdom do not meet the requirements of Romans 10.

Confessing his lordship and current active state in salvation is a requirement. The word raised actually means to make active, so that Christ is not only living but entirely active. Premillinialist believe Christ is alive but do not see him as active in a kingdom. Romans 10:9 means to make Lord and not just make alive.

We must believe he is raised (active) in our hearts. This leads us to call upon his name, and live in obedience to his Lordship, and faith toward his priestly service.

Keep in mind that "call upon his Name" means to appeal to his appointed privilege. Appeal to a family name we are adopted into, since being in that family gives privilege. We are baptized into the name of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit so we can appeal to those family privileges.
