Church God's Work

Building nations is a work of God. Building the church is no different since it is a Holy Nation.

Building the church is also a work of God. Any step in building the church is a work of God even if requiring participation by man.

All are initiated by God's work and not man. Even obedience is initiated by God's calling.

Baptism for instance is indeed an act of God in building the Church.

It is through baptism that we enter the family of God and are made part of the body of Christ.

All building of the Church is truly God's work.

I have actually heard Baptists teach our doctrine of baptism, baptism is used in adding us to the church, is a doctrine of Satan. This is close to blaspheme of the Spirit, calling the Spirit's work satanic. Water baptism is a work taught through the Holy Spirit.

The baptism of the Spirit and water baptism are/were both works of God.

Building the church as a nation is a work of God.

We are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus.

Instead of seeing baptism as a work we do, since man only submits, we should see it as a work of Christ.

Eph 5:26  That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

Eph 5:27  That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

In Ephesians baptism is a work of Christ. The part of man is submission o Jesus and not making ourselves righteous.

The context is our submission to Jesus, not our work on our own.

Eph 5:23  For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

Eph 5:24  Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
