Archbishop

The development of Catholic hierarchy took place over time. The term Arch-Bishop really isn't used for anyone but Christ. Even in Judaism chief priests were used in a plural sense. See Matthew 2:4

Christ is listed as the Chief shepherd and the chief cornerstone. In Christianity there aren't any arch Bishops except for Christ. Each Church has Elders that are theologically equal.

I Peter 5:4

and when the chief shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away

Catholics tend to think that eternal blessings come through their bishops, but only Christ can bless eternally. It is his power alone.
