Original Sin - God Saw

One way to answer original sin is that God foresaw man's sins before they occurred. He called man a sinner from birth because he foresaw their future.

Isa 48:8 Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time that thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.

So, the passages aren't teaching original sin but showing God can pronounce them sinners before they are even born. He foresees their life before it occurs.

Rom 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

"I have made thee" means God has made the environment, including the opening of Sarah's womb, from that time forward God could call Abraham a father so that it will happen and his power will sustain it. He empowered the conception and foresaw it.

No scripture ever ties Adam's sin to us, just the penalty of Adam's sin is passed, in Light of God foreseeing our own sinfulness.

"In Adam all die", says nothing about Adam passing sin to us. It is more from the idea God could accurately foresee our own sinfulness.

"I was shapen in iniquity", says nothing about Adam, David was a creation of God, this is speaking of God's work.

Original sin is an interpolation from scripture, it isn't directly stated.

While man is made, God foreseeing his sin, he is also made wonderful.

sa 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Psa 139:15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Psa 139:16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect(Not fully formed); and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

God saw him before being fully formed.

Psa 139:17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

Psa 139:18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

Psa 139:19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.

Psa 139:20 For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.

Psa 139:21 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

Psa 139:22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

Psa 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

Psa 139:24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

David had both good and evil in his ways, he wasn't totally depraved.

Sin was not passed from Adam, only that God had made man with the same inquisitive and prideful nature and environment that allowed Adam to sin. Adam didn't sin when tempted, but when he actually ate from the tree.

Many would say temptation is sin, not exactly. Jesus was tempted without sinning.

as 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Man can endure temptation and isn't totally depraved.

Jas 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

Jas 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

Jas 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Sin requires more than flesh, it requires temptation and lust.

Lust is not inherit in the person it must be conceived.
