FreeWill Ephesians

Since Ephesians highlights grace you might think it is absent of freeewill. In Ephesians however, grace empowers freewill by educating us for change.

Grace is education, freewill is the application of education by exercising faith toward what we are taught.

by grace through faith Eph 2:8) = education then application

The wording is very much the exercise of freewill.

Eph 4:20 But ye have not so learned (education) Christ;

Eph 4:21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

Eph 4:22 That ye put off (human endeavor) concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

Eph 4:23 And be renewed (consent) in the spirit of your mind;

Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man (human endeavor), which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Learning = grace thru Christ to understand

Put off - human will and action

Put on - human will and action

be renewed - human consent to change

Grace did not nullify freewill but educated and empowered it. Yet, it is still freewill. It is of human faith and will
