Words of Faith

Accurately portraying the faith is very important. It is necessary to keep it real you could say.

Faith is much more than a personal belief, it is a covenant passed from one party (God) to another (Us).

Abiding by the words God has given is necessary.

Mar 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

True faith considers Christ's word as eternal.

Faith only tends to consider belief in God as necessary, but allows adherence to Christ's doctrine as optional.

In retrospect it is important to build people up in the faith by using God's words.

1Ti 4:6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

There are people who have a limited knowledge but are open to growth in knowledge. Others are ashamed to live by Christ's word. Others are openly resistant to God's teaching.

The job of faith is to hold fast to God's words and keep them.

2Ti 1:13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

Salvation isn't faith only, it begins with openly cleaving to God's word, then fulfilling the word in faith and love.

Luk 11:28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Salvation is in keeping God's word, not just believing God's word.
