Youghal Cycling Club - Notes 17th February 2013

Club Spins Large groups continue to turn up at the regular Club spins. As the days are starting to brighten up it is great to see the usual faces and a few more new ones gather at Lidl every weekend. Although the temperatures are not too low for the time of year, the winds are certainly making themselves felt. With a close eye on the evening forecast the spins are tailored to have it on our tail coming home. It is great to see that we still have 3 groups of different levels heading out regurlarly, so there is no excuse not to get out on your bike!

Racing The racing calendar finally kicks off next weekend with the annual Lacey Cup as hosted by Tralee CC. We would like to wish all riders heading down there the best of luck on their first race of the year!

Sportiffs The sportiff season is also kicking off and first up is the Midelton 200. This event is being hosted by Audax Ireland and should prove a big challenge to all entering. Again, we wish all entering the best of luck.

Spinning & Core Training We are still holding the spinning classes every week until the evenings brighten up. The class is typically made up of 50 minutes spinning and 20 minutes core work. Classes are scheduled for 8pm on Tuesday, cost is E5 each. All club members welcome.
