YOUGHAL CYCLING CLUB NOTES 19^th September 2010

The Sunday Spin – 19th September 2010

With the season drawing to a close, the bad weather forecast for the day and some fella's just being darn right lazy last Sunday morning, a group of 4 gathered for out weekly club spin at 8.00am at Market Square carpark. The route for the day was a loop around the East Cork Coast which took in Ballymacoda, Garryvoe, Cloyne, East Ferry, Midleton, Castlemartyr, Killeagh and home to Youghal. A tough spin on the day with the strong wind and little bit of rain but the group returned to Youghal for 11.00am with 70km completed. Fair play to John Healy though, despite the poor conditions, he still found time to put on the matching club coloured knee warmers. Tour Of The Knockmealdowns Sportif 2010

Fermoy CC will hold their annual club tour this Sunday the 26^th September, Sign on is open from 9.00 am with the event due to start at10.00am. The comfortable 100km route travels from Fermoy to Ballyduff, Lismore, over the Vee, Clogheen, Micthelstown and back to Fermoy. A large group from Youghal CC will be travelling to the event so you are all asked to contact myself or the secretary for travel details.
