Club Spins Build build & build, with all the new riders in the Club this is the motto for the winter months. Again last Sunday there were in excess of 35 cyclists assembled at Moby Dicks for the usual club spin on Sunday last. Rolling out first was the intermediate group led out by road captains Gregg Hill and Jim Wyse. They headed on the East Cork route taking in Gortroe, Ladysbridge & Midleton before striking back to Youghal for 11.30am with a nice 65km on the legs. Folks this group is concentrating on building up group cycling techniques at a very comfortable pace. We have many riders in this group new to the Club and strongly encourage anyone still interested in talking up cycling to come down on a Sunday morning. Shortly after 9am another group of 15 riders led by road Captains Jon Tobin & Dave Heffernan headed out the Tallow Road to cover a 115km route that brought them to Fermoy and back to town through Rathcormac in time for lunch also. In these months we are in the middle of winter training and working on a more structured training plan. More details will follow in the coming days.
