LOCATION: 830 South Avenue West, Immanuel Lutheran Church
Directions for the November Meeting at Immanuel Lutheran Church:
Coming from the south on Brooks Street:
Turn east, right, onto South Avenue at the stop light by the fair grounds, go past the fair grounds, and the church is just across from Sentinel High School. Parking is behind the church on Sussex. Turn left onto Bow Street from South Avenue and go one block to Sussex, turn left and the church is the second church on the left. Go to the parking lot at the rear of the church. Use the church entrance from the parking lot on Sussex.
Coming from the North, East or West:
Turn off Brooks onto Stephens Avenue, go past CVS and Walgreens on either side of Stephens.
Turn left on Central at the Missoula Manor. Go one block and turn right onto Holburn Street. Proceed one block to Sussex and there is the church and its parking lot. It is the first church on the west end. Use the church entrance from the parking lot on Sussex.
Take the elevator to the Parish Hall. Someone will be at the door to welcome you!

The November meeting date is being changed due to many conflicts with events in Missoula. Our November meeting is an important meeting and good attendance is needed.

(3) Holiday Party in December
Treasurer’s Report for October, 2023:
Bills Paid: $75.00 to Paul Ronaldo Sprinkler Systems for winterization of the sprinkler system at the fort.
Deposit: $10.00 new member dues
Balance in the checking account: $1,959.08
A 3 month CD has been opened in the amount of $5,000.00 at First Security Bank at the rate of
4 1/2%. It will mature December 15, 2023. At that time it can be extended.
2024 Iris Calendars are available at our meeting for $5.00.
October 7, 2023, Meeting: 15 members were in attendance at the meeting held at the Missoula Iris Society Iris Garden at Fort Missoula. It was a beautiful 78 degree day at the garden. It was great to enjoy the garden and admire the renovations that have been made this year.
Prior to the meeting a work party was held to trim the iris to prepare them for winter. Thank you to all of you that worked on this project.
A formal meeting was not held. Copies were made available of the proposed 2024 budget, the treasurer's report, and details of the garden renovations. Members were given a chance to ask questions about each.
Books from the library of Billie Gray, a founding member who passed away in August, were brought by Zona Lindemann to share with the society. Wonderful books on plants, landscaping, and cooking were made available to our members. We thank the family of Billie Gray for generously offering her books to our society.
Cindy Davis was the Presidential Rhizome winner for October. Cindy has offered to be on the committee for selecting the 2024 Presidential Rhizomes.
