MINUTES OF THE MISSOULA IRIS SOCIETY OF JANUARY 6, 2018
Meeting was called to order by President Donna Dowell at 6:35. Present were Cindy Davis, Swede and Betty Ann Gustafson, Linda and Jim Sadler, Morris and Marie Nyquist, Al Lupkin, Carol Addeo, Ron and Donna Dowell, and Gary Clark.
Gary Clark gave a presentation on Water Lilies. After the program the group shared the potluck supper.
Minutes of November meeting were read and approved.
Treasurer report was approved as published in newsletter.
Nomination committee reported that Betty Ann Gustafson was nominated for president, Donna Dowell for vice president, Swede Gustafson for treasurer and Jim Sadler for secretary. The report was accepted and the slate was elected unanimously.
Betty Ann then took over the meeting.
Old Business:
The basket for the National Convention was discussed.
Swede reported that he had paid $200.00 to the Ft Missoula Museum. $100.00 as a corporate member and $100 for a donation.
New Business:
It was reported that the AIS Spring meeting will be in Oregon on May 11-13.
The next meeting will be at Cindy Davis's home at 929 Cooley at 6:30 PM. A short program on Irises that will qualify for judges training will be given.
The Presidential Rhizome winners were for December: Gary Clark, for January: Donna Dowell.
