Income was from memberships received from Ronda Leno and Ken Miller.

Expenses paid were: American Iris Society - for Show ribbons and entry tags and shipping feesfor a total of $86.00; Elizabeth Gustafson - for stamps to mail membership lists to members who were not at the April meeting - $6.95.

Ronda was our garden weeder last summer and has agreed to weed the gardens again this summer, however the society will surely appreciate anyone who has time to weed at the garden or attend to the irises in general.

MINUTES OF THE MISSOULA IRIS SOCIETY OF APRIL 1, 2017

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM by President Donna Dowell. 17 people were in attendance.

Ronda Leno was introduced as the new helper at the fort garden. Ken Miller was also introduced.

Minutes were approved as amended.

OLD BUSINESS:

Judy Blunt gave a report on the median show. The show is set for June 20, 2017 at 1901 1/2 South 4th Street West.

Financial report:

The corporation filing fee to the Secretary of State was paid. The checking has $537.04.

NEW BUSINESS:

It was moved by Judy Blunt to skip the January and February meeting each year. Seconded by Ron Dowell. The motion passed.

Swede Gustafson gave a presentation on the Fort Garden.

It was moved by Judy Blunt and seconded by Ed Verplancke that the plan to remodel the garden would proceed. The motion passed.

A report on soft rot and leaf spot was made. A product called conson triple action was recommended.

A report on painting of the shed was made. It was decided to wait until summer to discuss the issue further.

Rhizome winner was Gary Clark.

Meeting adjourned at 8:00 PM

Sunday, December 3, 4:30 pm (tentative date to be confirmed later) for Christmas party and turkey dinner and potluck at home of Billie Gray.
