MISSOULA IRIS SOCIETY MEETING

SATURDAY, APRIL 3, 2021, 3:00 PM,

LOCATION: FORT MISSOULA IRIS GARDEN

YES!!!!!!! We are finally having a meeting! Please bring a lawn chair. Snacks will be provided, however, you may bring your individual drink.

Members attending will receive a very special Easter egg!

We will be discussing some of our yearly plans which will include:

1. Our annual iris show, scheduled for Saturday, June 12, at the Southgate Mall.

2. Plans to bring Patrick Spence of Cascadia Iris Gardens, June 12 & 13th, to give classes on Siberian iris. Everyone will be welcome to attend these classes.

3. Finalize plans for an Ice Cream Social and possibly a tour of members gardens on the same day.

4. The Annual Rhizome Sale.

5. Acceptance of the budget for 2021 as approved by the society officers.

6. Most important of all, we will be able to be with one another!

TREASURER'S REPORT:

December 2020 was the last time I have reported the financial status of your local Iris Society. Not much in the way of business activity has taken place these 2021 winter months which usually occurs each year. Hope all are healthy and anxious to get out in the yards and gardens to view their irises and other plantings. Following is the financial status as of March 24, 2021:

Expenses Paid were as follows: $100.00 to Ensata Gardens in Michigan to purchase some newer Siberian irises for the Display Garden at Fort Missoula Site. There are 5 newer irises involved in the purchase including a 2021 introduction, a 2020 introduction, and 3 2018 introductions; $40.00 paid to the AIS Storefront for the purchase of 10 each 2022 calendars; and $20.00 paid to Erling Gustafson for reimbursement of the fee to register the Missoula Iris Society Corporation with the State of Montana as required by the laws of Montana. Registration by phone required the use of a credit card.
