January 2021

CANCELLATION OF THE JANUARY 9, 2021 AND FEBRUARY6, 2021 MEETINGS

Once again we are going to cancel our meetings for January and February. We will look towards March for our first 2021 meeting. Let's hope our world is somewhat back to normal at that time and we can once again enjoy our membership and friends in the Missoula Iris Society.

Here's hoping all is well and you will enjoy the winter months waiting for spring. We will look forward to that fresh burst of spring and some normalcy.

Just a reminder to please send your dues, $10.00 per member, to Swede Gustafson, Treasurer, Missoula Iris Society. Thank you to those of you who have already sent in your dues!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! We need it to be a new year!

Betty Ann Gustafson, President

DECEMBER 2020 TREASURER'S REPORT:

It’s been a very quiet month for the MIS treasury with only one deposit made and no bills paid to date. The Checking Account remains as reported in the last newsletter --- $329.83. I deposited money received from 4 people for 2021 memberships into the Savings Account to increase the Balance to $6796.02. Then added $0.11 interest income to make a final balance $6796.13.

In my spare time I have been typing a new document indicating the placement of irises within the MIS Garden Beds following the renovations Judy Blunt and I made in August and September. I will also take time to make a map of the locations to easily locate who is planted where in the garden beds. Almost unbelievable we were doing this 120 days ago on hot and dry days. Where did the time go?

Respectfully submitted, Swede Gustafson, Treasurer

PRESIDENTIAL RHIZOMES

Linda Sadler, August; Lotte Bowen, September; Ron Dowell, October; Swede Gustafson, November; Judy Blunt, December
