Host Meetings so far: April 5 meeting will be at the home of Swede and Betty Ann Gustafson, May 3 will be at the home of Fred Frey. Host still needed for November at the Eagles Lodge.
Membership List for 2014 – Was distributed to everyone at the last meeting. Anyone not able to attend will receive the membership list by mail.

Minutes of Missoula Iris Society for February 1, 2014.
The meeting of the Missoula Iris Society was called to order at 7:02 p.m. by President Ed Verplancke at the Eagles Lodge. Hosts were Donna and Ron Dowell.
Old Business
The minutes of the January meeting were approved as printed in the February newsletter.
Treasurer’s Report: The formal treasurer’s report was printed in the February newsletter. Swede Gustafson also reported that the membership list for 2014 has been delivered to Ed and Anita for printing. The auditors group met to audit the books for 2013. The financial records were found in good order and a year end report will be put in the next newsletter. The full value of the savings, cd, and checking accounts at year end is $14,816. Savings is $9,716.19 and checking is $674.78.
Meeting Locations: Carol Addeo reported on meeting locations. Betty Ann and Swede volunteered to host the April 5 meeting, and Ed and Anita volunteered to host the September meeting at the Eagles Lodge, Gary Clarke volunteered to host the October 4 meeting at his home. Carol will reserve the Eagles Lodge for September and November. A host is still needed for the November 1 meeting.
Web Page – Ed discussed the progress of the web page. Formatting the old web page, missoulairis.com, was a difficult job but he managed to do it. It is still a work in progress, but he feels we should maintain the old web page, because it has more visibility and is easier for people to find because it’s been there so long. He encouraged everyone to visit the site and see what he missed. He is using a Kompozer program. Carol commented that the website looked great; if anything was missing, who would know? She asked about contacts, where would they go. Ed has placed names and contacts of all officers on the site. In the past, the contacts went to Pete Addeo and he forwarded them to Carol to respond. Ed requested photos of members’ gardens; all photos are welcome.
New Business
Show Report – Judges from Utah have been invited to the June 7th show. They are Brad and Kathie Kasperek of Zebra Gardens. They will do a judges training on spurias, as he is a hybridizer of spurias. Discussion followed on housing for them and meals. Budget is $500 for visiting judges, usually paying for their gas and some for hotel.
Cindy wants to do an awards banquet with a meal after the show. So far Paradise Falls seems most reasonable.
Membership lists were passed out to everyone by Ed and Anita.
Sunshine Report: Ann Violette is recovering from surgery. Betty Ann gave a report that Ann had leg problems due to diabetes. A get well card was passed and signed by everyone.
Uncover Missoula – Brief discussion of updating the information with the Missoulian. Carol will call and update information.
Presidential rhizome winner – February winner is Jim Sadler.
