FEBRUARY MEETING:
DATE & TIME: SATURDAY, February 5, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. Usual potluck, followed by the meeting and a program.
PLACE: Home of Pete and Carol Addeo, 5805 Helena Dr.in Linda Vista. Call 251-5833 for directions.
Program: "How Vulnerable are Our Iris this Winter" will be the topic of discussion led by Billie Gray. Come with information and questions for this challenging winter of snow, ice and melt.

NOTICE TO JUDGES: Please attend a judges meeting to be held at the home of Betty Ann Gustafson, which is just two blocks up from the Addeo home. The judges meeting, beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feburary 5th, just prior to the regular meeting, is intended to discuss the June 2011 show schedule and other items of business. All judges are invited. The meeting will be adjourned in time for the regular meeting at Addeo's.
2011 MEMBERSHIP DUES: We will soon issue a new printed membership list which will be mailed and e mailed to all members. If you have not paid your dues yet be sure and pay them to the treasurer. Final deadline to be included in the new membership list and to continue to receive the newsletter is February 24.
Thanks to all who have renewed to support The Missoula Iris Society. Memberships received this month by Treasurer Swede Gustafson are Billie Gray, Bob and Claudia Brown, Honk Meyer, Roger Muir, Delane Langton, Judy Blunt and Jean Macaraeg.
Sunshine Report - Ann Violette, Elizabeth Friesz and Alayne Hilditch have been having health issues lately. Get well soon all of you from all of us.

TREASURER'S REPORT FOR FEBRUARY 2011
The Savings Account balance on Dec 31, 2010 was $9,272.69. On Jan 6 the account was credited with $3.51 for the 2010 4th quarter interest and I transferred $300 to the checking account the same day to leave a balance of $8,976.20 as the Jan 31, 2011 balance.
The checking account balance for Dec 31, 2010 was $388.16. With the deposit of $300 transferred in from the Saving Account and the deposit of $70.00 in memberships received, the January 31, 2011 balance is 768.16.

Minutes of the Missoula Iris Society
January 8, 2011
The meeting was called to order at 6:20 PM at the Eagles hall on South avenue. The pot luck was especially delicious and enjoyed by all.
Swede Gustafson gave the treasurer’s report: There is $9,272.69 in savings and $385.16 in the checking account. Motion was made by Ron Dowell to approve the treasurer’s report. The motion was seconded by Linda Sadler.
Betty Ann Gustafson gave a report on the Spring Iris show. She stated she is scheduling a meeting with the judges to go over the schedule.
Ron Dunn announced that Cleo Swanson sent her good wishes to the club.
Donna Dowell gave a report on the Median show at the mall. She stated that the show is scheduled for the 28th of May.
Pete Addeo, Claudia Brown and Cindy Davis were all appointed to the treasurers review committee.
Ron Dowell moved that the club purchase knifes and forks and plates for anyone who wishes to host a meeting at the Eagles hall.
Under old business it was reported that the National convention will be held May 28 to June 6th at Victoria BC.
Bob Brown thanked the club for keeping the garden in good shape. He announced that the Fort museum is now accredited. The fire exhibit of the fire of 1909 will be held over until January 2012.
The new budget was proposed by Swede Gustafson. He proposed a budget of $4560.00. Cindy Davis moved and Ron Dowell seconded the motion. The motion passed.
Rhizome drawing was won by Denise Lockridge.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 P.M.
