Expenses Paid 336.46

Current Balance 1147.63

Deposits were: Transfer from the Savings Account to pay for upcoming expenses $1000.00; Membership dues paid from the Nyquists who joined at the May meeting $20.00.

Expenses paid were: To Judy Blunt - $114.46 for printing of show brochures, etc for the upcoming shows; to Ronda Leno $222.00 for the weeding of the Ft. Garden.

Ronda is catching up on the garden weeding as the rain and cold weather have delayed getting out in the gardens. Additionally, the Nyquists have graciously worked in the gardens also. I started the watering system on May 23 and noted the system is working fine except for one spray head which will need some attention. The flowers in the Median bed are attracting a lot of visitors, the daffodils in the big bed were outstanding this spring, and the taller irises are beginning to show their displays. Take a few moments from your busy day and visit the garden and even pull a weed or three or more.

Respectfully submitted.

MINUTES OF THE MISSOULA IRIS SOCIETY OF APRIL 1, 2017

Meeting called to order by President, Donna Dowell.

MINUTES of the last meeting approved as written.

TREASURER'S REPORT: $464.09 balance in the checking account as printed in the May newsletter. Treasurer's report was approved.

OLD BUSINESS: Discussion regarding the renovation of the Fort Iris Garden planned for this summer. Swede presented an updated version, however, the new design is still in the planning stages.

Discussion on only keeping the 10 recent years of Dykes winners in the various beds. The Dykes bed would go away.

Swede checked on the price of blocks at both Lowe's and Mutual Materials. Preliminary cost estimated to be around $2500.00 for enough blocks to form the new design of the beds.

Billie Gray offered to help with the planning stages.

Discussion held about finding someone to do the labor for the new design of the garden.

Swede asked if anyone could help him with the overall project. Please let him know.

Swede will contact the Fort Director, Matt, and let him know what we are planning. Any changes will have to be approved by the Fort.
