IN MEMORIAM

Leona D. Brevik Wyckoff

Our friend and fellow iris society member passed away suddenly in her home the week of September 9, 2010 at the age of 69.

She was born in Wiliston, N.D. on Sept. 21, 1940 to parents Arthur and Florence Brevik.

Leona was happiest spending time with those she loved. Her brothers will miss a sister who liked to make people happy, always gathering her loved ones to tell stories or share her specialties, chocolate chip cookies or popcorn. Leona's children share fond memories of fun-filled days swimming with their mother at Lolo Hot Springs, or anywhere the water was deep enough.

Leona's grandchildren always felt special spending time with her. She took pleasure in tea parties around her dining room table and going on adventure-filled camping trips. Leona also loved her church family in Bonner.

In addition to the time she spent with family and friends, Leona enjoyed gardening, even taking first prize for Art Deco Iris Flower. She also had a passion for traveling to visit family or to anywhere new. Crafting was also a hobby.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents; and survived by her brothers Dennis Brevik (wife Debbie), and Gaylen Brevik (wife Dotty); her daughters Laurel Henley (Dennis) and Lanel Czegledi (husband Nick); and her sons, Michael Haaglund (wife Wendy), and David Haaglund (wife Lorrie). She also leaves 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Leona's memory will live on in the many lives she touched.
