The Mighty Ducks (1992)

Gordon Bombay (Emilio Estevez) is a hot shot Minneapolis lawyer who loses a big case and gets caught drinking and driving. For his punishment, he is sentenced to coach a hockey team full of misfit kids that don't stand a chance. The movie takes place in and around Minneapolis.

The courtroom scenes and the lobby staircase were filmed in Stearns County Courthouse at 725 Courthouse Square in St. Cloud, MN.

The IDS Center at 80 8th Street in downtown Minneapolis was used for filming, likely shots in Ducksworth's office.

Gordon is introduced to his team at Peavey Park in south Minneapolis.

Hans' Sport Shop is the Chalet at Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis.

Gordon takes the team to a hockey game at Met Center in Bloomington, MN. It was demolished in 1994.

Gordon leads the team on a skate across Nicollet Mall north of 7th Street South in downtown Minneapolis.

They then skate through Gaviidae Commons (651 Nicollet Mall), causing mayhem.

In their first official game as Ducks, they play at Cook Memorial Arena at 11091 Mississippi Boulevard NW in Coon Rapids. This arena was demolished in 2011 and replaced with Coon Rapids Ice Arena.

The final championship game against the Hawks takes place in New Hope Ice Arena at 4949 Louisiana Avenue North in New Hope, MN.

In the final scene of the film, the team says goodbye to Gordon at the corner of St. Peter Street & 7th Street West in St. Paul.
