Fun With Animals
The exterior of the chapel has changed in season 3, no longer in an enclosed alleyway. Instead, Hanson and Booker (Richard Grieco) exit the building on Keefer Place at the corner of Carrall Street. However, it appears it has since been torn down and replaced with a newer building. The Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Chinese Garden can be seen behind Tom in the above shot.

In this shot, you can see the walls of the Chinese Garden clearly.
Later, when Tom and Judy emerge from the stairs we get the reverse angle and the Dunsmuir Viaduct in the background. What was then an empty parking lot is now an outdoor garden.
Nervous about his new partner, Tom spies on Booker as he leaves his apartment in Shanghai Alley from West Pender Street.
