Big (1988)

This touching 80s comedy tells the story of Josh Baskin, a thirteen-year-old who wishes he was big. Then one night at a carnival he has a fateful encounter with a mysterious "Zoltar" machine and he awakens the next day a full-grown man (Tom Hanks). The film's setting is New Jersey, but as Josh "matures" he finds he must make for the big city and ends up in New York - at first a frightening place.
