Home Alone 2: Lost In New York (1992)

The same team behind the original blockbuster film returned a couple years later with another successful run at the box office. Once again young Kevin MacAllister (Macauley Culkin) becomes separated from his family during the holidays and once again must fend off the bumbling "Wet Bandits" (Joe Pesci & Daniel Stern). The twist? This time Kevin is not in the safety of his own home - but lost in New York City!

The MacAllister family home is once again at 671 Lincoln Avenue in Winnetka, IL.

"St. Gerard's School" where Kevin and Buzz perform in the Christmas pageant is Haven Middle School at 2417 Prairie Avenue in Evanston, IL (thanks to Chas at Itsfilmedthere).

Chicago's  O'Hare International Airport is where Kevin becomes separated from his family.

Kevin first catches a glimpse of the city out of a taxi window as he crosses the Queensboro Bridge.

Kevin takes a photo outside Radio City Music Hall at 1260 Avenue of the Americas.

He then bumps into Santa Claus outside the Empire Diner at 210 Tenth Avenue, which has since closed.

Kevin makes a quick stop in Quong Yuen Shing Grocery, the oldest grocery store in Chinatown at 32 Mott Street.

Kevin takes in the view from the South Tower of the World Trade Center, which sadly met its demise on September 11, 2001.

As Kevin walks across South Street at the New Amsterdam Market, he crosses right in front of the truck carrying Harry and Marv.

The newly-christened "Sticky Bandits" emerge from the 57 Street subway entrance at West 57th Street & 6th Avenue (thanks to Chas at Itsfilmedthere).

The bridge where Kevin runs into the "Pigeon Lady" in Central Park is the Gapstow Bridge on the SE corner of the park.

While in New York, Kevin stays in the luxurious Plaza Hotel at 5 Avenue New York. The view from Central Park is seen in establishing shots, but the entrance Kevin is seen going in is from 5 Ave.

The Plaza Hotel pool was actually filmed in the Four Seasons Hotel at 120 East Delaware Place in Chicago (thanks to Chas at Itsfilmedthere).

Marv & Harry discuss the toy shop job at Wollman Ice Skating Rink in Central Park.

Exterior shots of "Duncan's Toy Chest" were done at the Rookery Building at 209 South La Salle Street in Chicago. This was also seen in The Untouchables.

Amazingly enough, the interior of the toy store was built as a set in the lobby of the Uptown Theatre at 4816 North Broadway in Chicago (thanks once again to Chas for this one).

While running from the crooks, Kevin stops and buys a bead necklace at the corner of 5th Avenue & West 58th Street

It's across the street by the Pulitzer Fountain where Kevin lets loose the beads for them to slip on.

Kevin gets a woman to knock down the Bandits as they wait at the corner of 5th Avenue & East 60th Street.

Kevin gives the Bandits the slip by hiding in a horse carriage at Bethesda Fountain in Central Park (thanks to Chas and Lindsay for reporting on this location).

Marv & Harry fall on the beads on the sidewalk in front of Pulitzer Fountain on West 58th Street between 5 Avenue & 5th Avenue.

As recently reported by Lindsay from Iamnotastalker, the "Villa de Dolphine" motel where the MacAllisters stay in Miami was formerly Rochelle's Motel at 3333 Lakewood Boulevard in Long Beach, CA. It has since been torn down and is now a parking structure for Long Beach Airport.

Although the address given for Kevin's Uncle Rob is 51 West 95th Street, the apartment was actually filmed on Brownstone Street on the Universal Studios backlot in Los Angeles.

Kevin waves to a child in the window of "St. Anne's Hospital for Children" - actually the Broadway entrance to the Teacher's College Building at Columbia University (thanks to Chas at Itsfilmedthere).

Kate (Catherine O'Hara) searches for Kevin in Times Square.

Kevin is finally reunited with his mom in Rockefeller Plaza.

The MacAllister's hotel suite at the end of the film was shot in the Conrad Hilton Suite of the Hilton Chicago at 720 South Michigan Avenue. It is the most expensive hotel room in Chicago.
