Rat Race (2001)

This hilarious road trip adventure comedy takes place between Las Vegas, NV and Silver City, NM but was filmed in a variety of locations including Calgary, AB.

Opening scenes take place at The Venetian Las Vegas at 3355 South Las Vegas Blvd. in Las Vegas, NV.

The bus stop where Owen steals the bus full of Lucy impersonators was filmed at the parking lot for the Hoodoos Trail just south of Drumheller in Alberta.

The Pear family is harrassed by a female biker gang on Columbia Way/East Avenue M near the entrance to Plant 42 in Palmdale. I believe the intersection with 20 Street East is behind them in the middle shot.

The Fatburger where Randy lacess his family's milkshakes with sleeping pills is located at 42011 Sierra Highway in Lancaster, CA.

As Owen rides into Silver City on horseback, he is actually on The Lincoln Highway (Hwy 50) entering Ely, NV. He is soon followed by the rest of the gang, who struggle to get past him.

They find Enrico already inside the depot, which now houses the gift shop for the railroad.
