Michael Jackson - Beat It (1983)

This iconic music video featuring dancing gang members squaring off in a warehouse was filmed in downtown Los Angeles. Warning: this is not a safe part of town, especially at night.

The Monte Carlo Cafe at 109 East 5th Street is where the diner scene was shot. Today, the interior is considerably smaller than the version seen in the video (thanks to Lindsay at Iamnotastalker for the information).

The pool hall is now the Green Apple Market at 300 East 5th Street. It was previously the Hard Rock Cafe, pictured in The Doors' album "Morrison Hotel" (and even more famous for being the inspiration for the name of the restaurant chain).

On their way to the knife fight, the gang members walk down the alley alongside the Saint Agnes Hotel at 560 Gladys Avenue.

The warehouse knife fight/dance sequence (or at least the above shot) was filmed in a warehouse at 1013 Fifth Street.
