The Lost Boys (1987)
The iconic 80s vampire film The Lost Boys took place in the fictional town of Santa Carla, CA ("The Murder Capital of the World"). In reality, filming primarily took place in the coastal town of Santa Cruz south of San Francisco.
This is one that I wish I could take credit for, but Sean Clark at Bloody Disgusting has already written an excellent article about filming locations for this movie, so go check it out!
