Gotcha! (1985)
This film follows college student Jonathan (Anthony Edwards) as he goes abroad and becomes entangled in an espionage plot surrounding Sasha (Linda Fiorentino), a mysterious woman he meets in Paris. The film goes from Los Angeles to Paris to Germany and back to Los Angeles.
The opening shot is in Wilson Plaza of UCLA, looking up towards Royce Hall & the Powell Library. Jonathan later chases his first victim down these stairs & bumps into the girl in Wilson Plaza, spilling Diet Pepsi on her sweater.
Jonathan's first target is then seen walking through Royce Hall at UCLA. This same hallway is seen again at the end of the film.
Jonathan waits on the balcony on the south side of Kinsey Hall to nail the guy walking across the bridge from Knudsen Hall (above Portola Plaza).
Exterior shots of the "Veterinary Sciences" building are Kinsey Hall, where the lecture hall supposedly is.
Jonathan & Manolo run around the track at Marshall Field at UCLA. Then they head up into the stands on the west side.
Jonathan lives in the Gayley Terrace Apartments at 959 Gayley Avenue in Westwood, CA.
Jonathan & Manolo pick up girls outside the Louvre Museum on Place du Carrousel in Paris.
The castle where the agents track down Jonathan in Berlin is the Castle Zitadelle in Spandau, Berlin.
The locks that Jonathan runs through is the Spandau Channel (Schleuse Spandau) just west of the Castle in Spandau. It has since been remodeled and looks much different than the film.
The Burger King Jonathan visits in Berlin was on Kurfurstendamm Avenue in Berlin. I believe the one in the film was in a different location than it is today.
The Hamburg Airport where Jonathan was dropped off in the van was actually Berlin Tegel Airport.
Jonathan returns to LA at the Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX.
The agents chase after Manolo & Sasha in front of El Mercado at 3425 East 1st Street in Los Angeles.
Sasha meets the man in the chicken suit at historic Olvera Street in Los Angeles.
Sasha meets the Chinese man in Old Chinatown Plaza, outside Madame Wong's Club at 494 Sun Mun Way.
Manolo & Sasha lead the agents into a trap under the East 4th Street Bridge in Los Angeles. They are just below the intersection of East 4th & South Bernal Avenue, looking up the hill toward South Concord Street. This same location was seen in Breakin 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Toward the end of the film, Manolo drops off Sasha at UCLA on the south side of West Dickson Court.
Sasha is finally reunited with Jonathan in the Franklin D. Murphy Sculpture Garden on the north end of the UCLA campus.
I believe the final shootout was in the "Campus Corner" outside the Student Activities Center & Kerckhoff Hall.
The final scene of the film, where Jonathan runs into the snobby girl again & shoots her in the butt was outside the north side of the Powell Library.
