The school in this episode is now Vancouver Technical School at 2600 East Broadway. Tom & Doug are shown walking up the staircase from the track at the beginning, before they get in a fight in the staff parking lot.

In this episode we finally get a look at Penhall's apartment. The exterior shot is the J.W. Horne Block at 307 West Cordova Street in Gastown.
The hospital first seen in this episode and then many more times throughout the show is the Veteran's Hospital at 11301 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. This was also seen in the 1985 film Re-Animator.
