Parenthood (1989)

This heartwarming 80s comedy follows an extended family's struggles with coming-of-age, parenthood and midlife crises. Although supposedly set in an unnamed midwestern town, the story mostly takes place in locations throughout Orlando, Florida.

Opening scenes at the baseball game take place at Tinker Field, adjacent to the Citrus Bowl on South Tampa Avenue in Orlando.

Helen (Dianne Wiest) lives in the Eastin House at 1327 Eastin Avenue in Orlando. The interiors were built entirely on a soundstage at the newly-completed Universal Studios, Florida.

Nathan (Rick Moranis) and Susan (Harley Jane Kozak) live at 815 McIntyre Avenue in Winter Park. The interiors and exteriors of the actual house were used.

Frank (Jason Robards) lives at 1402 West Smith Street in College Park.

"Gerald Paris Elementary School" is actually the south entrance of Beardall Senior Center at 800 Delaney Avenue in Orlando. The interior of the principal's office was shot inside Norman Hall at the University of Florida.

Julie (Martha Plimpton) and Tod (Keanu Reeves) pick up their photos at College Park Publix Market at 2015 Edgewater Drive. The photo booth was built for the film.

The movie theater scene was shot at AMC Fashion Village 8 at 735 Herndon Avenue. It now houses Summit Church.

Birthday party scenes were shot at Showbiz Pizza, now Chuck-E-Cheese's at 541 FL-436 in Altamonte Springs.

Little league scenes were filmed at the softball field at the SE corner of Delaney Park.

The graduation scene was shot outside University Auditorium at the corner of Newell Drive & Stadium Road at the University of Florida campus in Gainsville.

Drag race scenes toward the end of the film were shot at Orlando Speed World Dragway at 19164 East Colonial Drive.
