Teen Wolf (1985)

This classically cheesy 80s comedy stars Michael J. Fox as scrawny teenager Scott Howard who soon finds out he is descendant from a line of werewolves and before he knows it, he's the coolest kid in school! This film takes place mostly in South Pasadena, CA.

The gymnasium where the Beavers play is Lennox Middle School at 11033 Buford Avenue in Lennox, CA.

The rest of the school interiors and exteriors were done at John Burroughs Middle School at 600 S. McCadden Place in Central LA. This should look familiar to fans of Pretty in Pink and Nightmare on Elm Street.

Boof (Susan Ursitti) and Scott walk down Mission Street from Mound Avenue in South Pasadena, ending up at the Howard's hardware store at 1518 Mission Street.

Stiles (Jerry Levine) is on a mission to get some liquor for the party at 6670 Foothill Blvd in Tujunga.

Once Scott is successful in getting some booze, Stiles celebrates with some van surfing on Sherman Way in North Hollywood, between Fulton Avenue and Coldwater Canyon Avenue.

They arrive at the house party at 5223 Shearin Avenue in Eagle Rock.

The mind-blowing thing about this film is when you realize that the Howards live in Lorraine's house from Back to the Future (1727 Bushnell Ave, South Pasadena), which was being filmed at the same time as this film (November 1984) - so Marty is living in his mom's house! The release of BTTF actually caused this film to be delayed.

There are actually a couple walk-and-talk scenes with Scott and Boof on Bushnell Avenue (the Back to the Future street), and in this one they stop in front of George McFly's house at 1711 Bushnell. You can see the distinctive rock work behind them.

The pizza place and bowling alley seen in the film were both Montrose Bowl at 2334 Honolulu Avenue in Montrose.

Scott walks Pamela (Lorie Griffin) home to 1980 Oak Street in Pasadena.

Scott's introduction to the Wolfmobile was on the east side of Burroughs Middle School, directly across from South Las Palmas Avenue.

We see Scott/The Wolf doing some van surfing on Bushnell Avenue in South Pasadena.

He shows off his new abilities as they round the corner from Fair Oaks Avenue onto Mission Street in downtown South Pasadena.

These school hallways at Burroughs should look very familiar to Pretty in Pink fans. The last shot is almost the exact location where Duckie tears down the prom banner.

The dance scene and final game play out back in the gym at Lennox Middle School.
