Uncle Buck (1989)

The last eighties film written and directed by the late, great John Hughes puts a cap on an amazing decade of classic heartfelt comedies. John Candy stars as Buck Russell, who has been been reluctantly hired by his brother to watch after his children because of a last-minute family emergency.

The Russells live at 2602 Lincoln Street in Evanston, IL.

Buck and his tough-as-nails girlfriend Chanice (Amy Madigan) have a date at O'Sullivan's, now Emmitt's Irish Pub at 495 North Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago.

Buck lives at 3700 North Sheffield Avenue, next to Wrigley Field.

The high school used in the film was New Trier West High School at 7 Happ Road, Northfield, IL.

Maizy (Gaby Hoffman) & Miles (Macauley Culkin) go to Romona Elementary School at 600 Romona Road in Wilmette, IL.
