The famous bicycle boogie between Cru and Christian (Lori Loughlin) was shot in the gymnasium of Cochrane High School, which is now a library. Prior to their grand entrance, Cru does some showing off outside. The tree visible in the shot is still there.

Cru and Christian walk their bikes on the hill overlooking Cochrane on Gleneagles Drive, just off Bow Valley Trail

They then go sliding down a culvert into the Bow River on the west end of Bowness Park in Bowness. The culvert was constructed for the film and no longer there, but the spot is fairly obvious just on the other side of the Stoney Trail Bridge.

The "Main Street Snack Bar" where Cru works is now Home Quarter Restaurant & Pie Shoppe at 216 1 Street West in Cochrane. The inside and outside have been totally remodeled.

The qualifying race was filmed entirely in Bowness Park. It basically followed the paved walking path that does a loop around the park.

Cru and Christian talk outside one of the picnic shelters in Bowness Park, then ride across a bench and through the playground area, which has been replaced with more modern equipment.

Cru and Christian make up in MacKay's Ice Cream - one of the staples of Cochrane at 220 1 Street West. It is outside here that Cru talks to Duke in his car.

Helltrack was constructed in the large open field in Bowness Park, next to the former amusement park. After filming, the park was returned to its original state (in other words, nothing remains).

The end credits montage (like the opening shots) was shot on Torrance Beach in California. The specific spot is on the bike path adjacent to the volleyball courts a short walk to the north of Miramar Park. The telephoto lens used makes the lifeguard tower appear much closer than it is.
