Big Trouble in Little China (1986)

This epic fantasy adventure from director John Carpenter is set in San Francisco but was heavily filmed on sets in Los Angeles. Some establishing shots were actually filmed in San Francisco however.

The "Egg Foo Young Tours" bus is seen turning off Bush Street onto Grand Avenue and passing through the Dragon Gate into Chinatown.

The fire station seen in this film was the same used for interiors in the Ghostbusters films, Fire Station 23 at 225 E. Fifth Street in downtown Los Angeles. It is not open to the public.

He then makes a narrow squeeze down Ross Alley off Jackson Street.
