What Tape Should You STICK To?

Abstract

My question was what tape works the best? The hypothesis was that the electrical tape was the one that was going to work the best. I thought this because it is used on electronics. I knew this was right when my sister’s headphones broke, and she had to tape it together with electrical tape.

The way I did this experiment is I first got four different kinds of tape, duct tape, electrical tape, clear tape, and masking tape. The first thing I did in the process was tape the tape off the edge of the table, then I waited fifteen minutes, afterwards I measured the force of the tape. Finally, I repeated it three times.

The electrical tape was the best; it had a 383 force, the duct tape had 300 force, the clear tape had 133 force, while the masking tape only had 116 force.

In conclusion electrical tape is the tape people should stick to. It is very useful when you need to tape a phone plug any other kind of electronic. If I were to make the project better I would change the surface or get all of the same brand of tape but still different kinds. My hypothesis was correct because I said the electrical tape would work the best.
