Which brand of sunscreen blocks the sun best?
Question: Which sunscreen brand best provides protection from the sun? For my experiment I am trying to find out which brand of sunscreen can best protect against the sun. I picked this topic because I feel that it would be very interesting to learn,about the different sunscreen that can protect you best . In summer when I go to buy sunscreen I know which brands are really helpful
Hypotheses:
My hypothesis is that that the Neotrogena brand of sunscreen will work the best because, It's a brand that is # 1 recommended by the dermatologists. Plus it can have an SPF of up to 100 and ,more which means that it provides a full coverage of protection against the uv rays of the sun.
Procedure:
Find different brands of sunscreen
gather something to test it on ( I used beads that change color in the sun)
Test each brand in the sun for 5 minutes
make sure you put the beads in pure day sunlight
observe the beads to see if their were any color change if their is then the brand that was being used was not so effective.

Conclusion
I observed a lot over the past couple weeks doing my experiment. My data related to my question because, I was trying to find out which of sunscreen was the most effective in blocking the sun. And my question was which sunscreen blocks the sun the best. My data did agree with my hypotheses because I predicted that the Neutrogena brand would be the most effective and it was.I think my experiment was accurate because I tested it the same amount of time each time for 5 minutes. And because I put the beads in the same spot so it would get the same amount of sun. I could of improved my project by testing the brand more than once instead of one time only.

Abstract
For my experiment I was trying to find out which brand of sunscreen would be the most effective, in blocking the sun. My hypotheses was that the neutrogena brand would be the most efficient because it has an SPF of 70 which is a high protection. I decided to choose this topic because I thought it would be a easy to do experiment, but interesting to test at the same time.
There were many steps in doing this experiment . The first thing I did was to find different brands of sunscreen . The second step was to get something to test the sunscreen on . In my case I used special beads that change color in the sun. next I placed the beads in the sun and waited 5 minutes each test.the final step is to observe if the beads change color , if they do then the sunscreen did not work as well if they don't change color then the sunscreen did provide protection.
For my experiment I found that the most effective brands in blocking the sun were the Coppertone , and Neutrogena brand. I knew they were the most effective because the beads did not show any color change. The brand that provided the least protection was the No - AD brand because the beads changed color which means that it does not provide full protection from the sun like the other two.I rated the protection from 1-5 five the best 1 the least the neutrogena brand was the best and the NO-AD brand was the worst because the beads changed to a yellowish color. I gave that brand a 3.
I learned a lot doing this project. One important thing I learned was the kinds of sunscreen brands that work better in protecting you from the harmful uv rays. My hypotheses was correct because I said that the Neutrogena brand would be the best and it turned out to be the one of the most effective brands . Overall, I think my experiment was mostly accurate but I feel like I could of improved it by repeating the observations a couple times more to see if it comes to the same data.
