Exercise and Pulse Rate

Pulse rate

The question I asked myself before this was what exercise would raise your pulse rate the most. My hypothesis was running would make my pulse rate go up the highest. I think it will go up the highest because when I run it makes my heart beat very fast. chose this topic because it sound interesting and it is something I like doing.

So how I did this project is I rest for a while and put on the fitbit and checked my pulse rate before I did the exercise. Before I did the exercise I saw how much time it would take to do each exercise to happen so that all three exercises I did happened around the same time. After I did I checked my pulse rate and wrote the data down. Then I repeated it 5 times for each exercise.

So the three exercises I did were push ups sit ups and running. The data I got for it was 24.8 for push ups and that is only the averages. For the sit-ups it was an average of 22.8. For the running was 97.2 and that is very high.

I learned that running makes anyones pulse go up very high and so do other exercises. My hypothesis was correct because I said that running would make your pulse rate the highest. I was correct because push-ups and sit-ups only raises the pulse rate by 20. Running raised the pulse rate by 97.2. I could of did my calculations off and been off by a second or more. To have a louder alarm when it is up and check right after it. I could improve this experiment by having more people do it.
